    Celebration at August Euler Airfield on September 23

    On 1st January 2005, the Technische Universität Darmstadt was granted far-reaching autonomy by state law. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the university's autonomy, the presidium of the TU Darmstadt is to host a big ceremony at August Euler Airfield in Griesheim to which all members of the university are invited.

    Das Sommerferienprogramm für Kinder „Wissen ist cool“ findet dieses Jahr auf dem August – Euler Flugplatz in Griesheim unter dem Motto „Luft und Raumfahrt“ statt. Mit dem Programm möchte die Wissenschaftsstadt Darmstadt Kinder und Jugendliche für Naturwissenschaft und Technik begeistern. Auf dem Programm stehen auch Führungen durch den Windkanal des Instituts Strömungslehre und Aerodynamik.

    Hessian Research at ISC High Performance 2015 in Frankfurt

    Computational scientists need to know how to develop performant software and suitably deploy it on HPC platforms. The Hessian Competence Center on HPC (HPC-Hessen) provides support to develop those skills. Researchers from Hessian universities provide insight into HPC applications running on the Hessian HPC infrastructure. Members of HPC-Hessen highlight the strategies developed to further HPC software competence and provide examples of its impact.

    Institute for Nano- and Microfluidics to participate in LOEWE Cluster CompuGene

    Microfluidic methods for studying genetic circuits

    On June 30, 2015, the government of the federal state of Hessen approved approx. 4.4 million Euros funding for the LOEWE Cluster CompuGene. The institute for Nano- and Microfluidics will contribute by exploring microfluidic methods for studying genetic circuits in a scenario as close as possible to in vivo conditions.
